John Muir Esq My Dear Sir Your valuable letter of June 20th was received by me at the Sea-side. I heartily thank you for
your information. I think however that your list of articles is not quite complete. as I remember one upon the Water-Ouzel
of the Yosemite. This Article or topic may have been incorporated in another article fearing a different title How this may
be I do not know. In your Remarks upon the Water Ouzel I made your acquaintance, when one year ago the past April I was thinking
Water-Ouzel the Entire time. I have written Cannany? Son for the Overland given my bookseller an order for Harpers Scribner

when we start for the Sierra. I am acquainted with your town of Martinez, having stopped their once on my way to Benieia.
