In addition to fighting bulls with horses, another feature of the Portuguese style corrida (bullfight) is the pega (bullgrab)
by a group of men called forcados (bull grabbers). In this photograph a group of eight forcados dressed in traditional costumes
roll over the side of the plaza de toros (bullfight arena). The temporada (bullfighting season) in California begins in April,
traditionally of the feastday of San Isidro (St. Isidore) and continues until October.
