The Century Magazine ,New York, N. Y., Dear Sir:- The American Forestry Association proposes to hold a two days' session,
October 19th and 19th, in Chicago, under the auspices of the World's Congress Auxiliary; the printed circulars on the subject
have not yet come to hand from Chicago, or I should enclose some to you. Can you not be present to take part in our meeting
and, if possible, read a paper on some forest subject with which you may be familiar; perhaps on your work in behalf of the
forests in the Yosemite Valley ? Yours truly, illegible 01487
