Martinez, Feb. 17, 1908. Dear Mr Kent, I thank you very much for your kind invitation to your home the show. The San Rafael
show I don't care for but the home visit is after my heart for I want to know you work with you. At present however the fates
are against both. I have to go to the Mohave desert near Daggett in a day or two to look after my daughter Helen convalescing
from pneumonia. But after my return if all goes well a visit to Kentfield will have preference above all others whenever a
convenient time for you again comes round. I have just finished an article for the Sierra Club Bulletin on the Hetch Hetchy
dam destruction scheme which has been a big bother to write. Ever Yours faithfully John Muir
