Newburgh, N.Y., Feb. 7/08. My dear Mr. Muir: - I stepped into the library - before going skating this afternoon - to
read the article in the February North american Review - and just as I was about through reading it Mr. Bailey Millard's article
in the Bookman came to my notice.- I am writing to you as a result of reading Mr, Millard's article - It is a happenstance
(one of so very many that occur to those who are mentally alive - at any rate), that Mr. Millard's article was reprinted in
the Sep. 1906 number of a (10 ) Chicago magazine - in which I had a letter - the first attempt I have ever made at writing
(outside of a humorous college journal of which I was an editor - and a school paper) my somewhat novel views of politics
