San Francisco, Dec. 28. 1908 Dear Mr. Muir:- Beg to acknowledge your esteemed favor of the 23d Inst, and wish to inform
you that I have to-day mailed the 31 photographs you selected from my collection. The usual price is 25 per copy but a cheque
for 6.00 will cover them entirely.I have taken particular pains to get the very best effect from the negatives in printing
them and trust they will meet your approval. Enclosed I send you a specimen of lace bark taken from the Lace Bark Tree and
also a specimen of taken from the Tissue Cactus , both are from Jamaica B. W. I. and no doubt might interest you as a botanist
but regret to state that I was unable to obtain the scientific names of them. Wishing you health and happiness for the New
Year, I am Sincerely yours, 4016 - 18th Str.
