8 Martinez Aug. 1, 1891 Dear Mr Johnson I send you herewith 3 photographs of destructive work among the Sequoias of
Kings River which may I think be useful amunition in the coming fight on forest preservation. I have already written 12000
words? on Kings River Yosemite though the Middle Fork Yosemite has yet to be described. I will go over it again cut down as
