Miss F. B. Whittier December 7th, 1907 Dear Mr. Muir It Is a long time since I have had the pleasure of writing to you.
Mr. Colby tells me that you are revising your Hetch Hetchy article for the Bulletin. And I write to ask when, I may expect
to receive it or will you send it direct to Murdock Press? By the way, Murdock is moving down town and will be ready in a
week; somewhere near Mission and Second Sts. I hope that you are enjoying good health and also this welcome rain. Your article
in the Outlook was the most beautiful piece of description that I have ever read and gave me the greatest of pleasure, irrespective
of the strong advocacy in the cause of letting illegible alone. Fortunately the utilitarians will have to make a strong showing
to overcome your arguments. With kind regards, very truly Yours illegible 03988
