2 The grass is already green and spring flowers are abundant and with pleasure I inclose a few of your favorite blossoms.
Joanna is still in Portage and intends to spend the summer here as Walter will still be in Philadelphia her rooms with us
were upstairs and did not suit for hot weather, but she has got rooms quite near us now and that suits her better. We have
a letter today from Mary they are all well and seem to enjoy their new home in Kearney Nebraska. 3 A few weeks ago we
had a very unexpected visit from John Reid, he came to Chicago on business and thought he would come to Portage he looks well
and quite stout and thinks of moving the family to live on the farm. Probably you know that David is a grandfather and they
call me a Great-Grandmother. Our folks here are all about as well as usual after quite a trying time with the prevailing
Influenza. I hope you and Louie and the children are all quite well 01418
