letterhead Port Townsend April 20th, 1880 on Board Mr. Havorite ? Dear Mr. Muir We are at last on our way north with
the Mr. Havorite? and hope to reach Wrangel in about five days. We got the new tounage measurement today for the custom house,
it is 85 tons, the accommodations are fine and the boat is well arranged and filled up, we have her full of freight fuel.
Now you must come up this summer and spend the season with us, we will take good care of you. My wife and children are in
good health and will go to Wrangel on the Mary California to remain with Mrs McWooland? some of the time in Silka as I expect
to remain there some of the season. With sincere regards hoping that you will come I remain Yours very Truly J.M. Vanderbilt
