The Oakland Youth Chamber Orchestra in a concert recorded on March
27, 1966. The orchestra, composed of Easy Bay high school students, and
conducted by Robert Hughes, has built for itself a rather impressive reputation.
Here you will hear five works, ranging from Mozart to Copland, and Mendelssohn
to Harrison, all of which pay tribute to the talent and versatility of this
group of young musicians.
