1 letterhead Alhambra, Cal., Aug 19 1910 John Muir Author and Naturalist who has made all the World love the Sierras
of California. Dear Sir Several years ago I read your publications in Scribners and became deeply interested in the Yosemite
- I was then in Massachusetts. My home has been in California nine years, but I did not see the wonderful valley till this
present summer. 04852 2 letterhead Alhambra, Cal., ..........................190..... Standing before the Yosemite
Falls I recalled your description and fancied I saw you climbing the cliffs and s illegible in the spray. My feelings were
so wrought upon by the Falls that I tried to give expression to the impression which swept through me and have written something
in verse. If I have your permission I would like to dedicate the lines to you - Would you be willing to have your name in
that connection? Sincerely Yours Francis E. Corey 04852
