Martinez Nov. 17, 1902 Dear Professor Anderson: We are all glad to hear that you are bravely hammering away at your great
book but fondly hope you will not work too hard. How is the winter affecting your health? May the winds rain be kind to you.
The trip to Mexico is very tempting we must make it some time. Just now my tasks are pushing me hard. Hoping that we will
hear shortly that your health is being speedily restored, I am ever sincerely yours John Muir
