Description:
Pictured is an unidentified baseball team. The man not in uniform is presumably their coach. The first baseball league
in which Turlock, California participated was organized in 1907. This team predates that league. They pose for the camera
on Main Street next to the railroad tracks and across from the Hilmar Colony Land Agency, operted by Nels Hultberg. There
is a man standing in the shade to the right and behind him are two saddled horses probably hitched (tied) to a hitching rail.
In the center distance are tall trees that shade the Turlock Hotel. It was located on the coner of Main and Front Streets
and operated by Elizabeth E. Allen.
