1 Mattapoisett, Mass. July 30. 1913 Dear Muir: Please return inclosed letters, My Times letter is having effect you
see. I have other letters about it. If you print anything more, let it be the plan of the park which you had on the old illustrated
pamphlet, with a brief (1)(2)(3) resume diacritic of the arguments on the back of it. I wonder if a postal card with the plan
only below it a statement HH Valley to be flooded. Two of three chief camping places withdrawn from public. Five hundred miles
of the Nation's Greatest Park cut off from free access. I believe you would do well to make 05504 2 much of the camp-site
consideration, the need of accommodations for the San Joaquin people. There is no telegraph office here and I must telephone
everything to New Bedford and the weather today is blistering. But I must know if it is correct to say that the San Joaquin
Valley people are against the scheme. Sullivan said so, but I await confirmation from you. I am not only stirring up others
but stirring them up to stir up others, c. My Open Letter of four pages I shall send through Sullivan to Congress sending
others to the press. Faithfully thine, R.U. Johnson 05504
