thanks for photos of my taking Martinez. Jan. 23. 1901 My dear Lukens, The handsome tree photos arrived yesterday I
shall add them to the Grand Album. The Muricata and one? of the Sabines are handsome trees they are very hardy. They should
be oftener planted in parks gardens. So also should the Common Nut-Pine (monophylla) which when young forms a handsome broad
