COPPER RIVER AND NORTHWESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY OFFICE OF GENERAL MANAGER CORDOVA. ALASKA E.C. HAWKINS GENERAL MANAGER
August 20, 1910, Professor John Muir. Care Rev. S. Hall Young, Cordova, Alaska. My Dear Muir. I learn through Professor
Martin and Dr. Young that you are to make a visit to this portion of Alaska in the very near future. I will be very much
pleased if you call at our office together with Dr. Young in order to arrange a visit to the Copper River region. 1 have just
received a note from Professor Martin saying he has camp equipment and in addition to an interesting visit to the Copper River
glaciers he would like you to visit the Columbia glacier. We shall be very much pleased to render you any assistance in making
your examination of the glaciers in this vicinity. Yours very truly, illegible ECH/EES 04856
