Martinez, 27 July, 1894 My dear Mr Johnson-- I have this day corrected the last of the gally proofs of the little Sierra
book. Many thanks to you. If you think the title too big pretentious please change it to studies in the Mountains of Cal or
rambles, Excursions or what you judge best. If you Gilder will send the lads along I'll take care of them as well as I can
take them through Yosemite the Tuolumne Canon Hetch Hetchy But if possible send some good body with them to divide with me
the responsibility of their care Tesla would do grandly Mrs Muir is very anxious to see that Slav. I suppose Bouroughs sic
will be held by his vine tangles. Should you conclude to send them next year I'll still be ready to show them what I can with
gladness of heart Let me know as soon as possible what you Gilder determine in the matter I'll shape my plans accordingly.
Ever Cordially Yours John Muir
