4 have sunshine, frost, and a little snow much more like our usual winter weather. In regard to Joanna's affairs, she has
been kept pretty close for some time, but Annie has helped her some, and as she Annie has received some money from David she
says she can help her some more until she gets her own? money. I have let her have a little too to help her out so I think
she wll get along all right at present. I have not quite decided what will be the best thing to do with the money when it
comes, Our folks in both family s? have lost so much in the Bank things seem so uncertain just now With love to you all
I am Affectionately Sarah M.G. 1 Portage. Wis. Jan. 6. /97 Dear brother John Yours of Decr 28th was received
in due time and I thank you for your kind wishes and also for the order you so kindly sent us. I had it cashed the next day
and handed to those in town, each their part, and the others will follow on, so each one of the Clan will have a Christmas
remembrance from you. I send many thanks for mine and will put in into something that I can often look at. I was glad to know
that you were all fairly well. 02211
