Crockers Station Sequoia, Tuolumne Co., California 23 Miles from Yosemite Valley Big Oak Flat Route Mrs. H. R. Crocker,
Proprietress Sequoia, Cal., Oct. 17, 1907 Dear Mr. Colby: As you will see I have suggested ousting down the Com mittee
report on appropriations considerably and addressing the Secretary, President and Congress separately. Should the other members
not approve of these changes, they can send on the report in the original form and I'll do what I can in letters still shorter.
I hope to be back home in about a week and not too late to get in our request for good large appropriations. Keith is enjoying
himself in this bracing air, and 1 hope toget rid of my cough in blessed and bothersome Hetch Hetchy. With best wishes,
Faithfully yours, John Muir
