Daggett, California March 24 - 08 Dear Papa - This is another perfect sunny day on this desert of mine, and the larks
are singing. Im feeling cheerful as ever. Yesterday I received a charming and kindly letter from Mrs Bailey, and I have just
answered it. It is so good of all the Merriams to take the kind interest in me they do. As you are coming here sometime this
week, this is probably the last letter that will have time to reach you before you start. Everything goes well here, and I
am feeling fine. I am enjoying the Sierra Club magazine you sent me. Always yours lovingly Helen 04119
