Los Angeles, Calif., 6th grade, Hoover St. School, May 26, 1910. My Dear Mr. Muir: Our teacher has just finished reading
your book Stickeen to us and we enjoyed it very much. We were very anxious to see if the dog would get across the bridge and
thought it wonderful the way he did it, especially the last part of it. We liked the whole book and the way he jumped the
crevasses without taking much attention of them. We were surprised that you didn't take him with you. We could not find other
way so we thought we would write a letter to you and try to find out that way. Yours respectfully, Earl Demond. 04767
