Photograph of Carnegie Library in Inglewood, California, circa 1950's. The library was built in the Mission/Spanish Colonial
Revival style. The names of the builder and architect are not known. The building was dedicated August 27, 1917. In 1961 the
library was outgrown and a city study concluded that it should be removed and a new library built on the same site. In 1962
the majority of the books were moved to temporary library quarters, while the rest remained stored at the old library. Finally
in 1967 the building was demolished for construction of the new library.
