Garrisons, N. Y., July 14, 1911. My dear Mr. Marshall: Many thanks for your promptly sending me the maps and for your
kind wishes for my Amazon trip. You must be suffering with the heat down there. We have been very hot also but I am comfortably
located In Prof. 0sborn's place about a thousand feet above the sea, over-looking the Hudson and surrounded with a close growth
of trees. I have been hard at work and am still working on the Yosemite Book but many interruptions causes very slow progress.
