Martinez, January 11, 1895 My dear Sellers, Welcome to the brightest of the bright lands of sunshine, deepest snows, and--deepest--muds.
Oh dear I'm sorry, but you know This is exceptions Earth sky one poultice, all the land gone hereabouts to agricultural gravy,
boundless endless sublime, rivaling the best bogs on the continent. bridges like tourists on their banks wandering about on
the highways, seeking rest-dry Chicago boulevards. Your experience on the mountains I admire that was clean kindly, Well
anyhow I'm delighted you are here if the railroad bridges stand I'll be down to see you tomorrow. I hope you are well All's
