1 Kioto. Japan. May 14th 1907. letterhead Dear Mr Muir Such a pleasant surprise greeted me in our mail from home,
After a long trip around the world your postal card reached me, it was indeed kind of you to send the New Years greeting,
which I assure you I sincerely appreciate. We left Broadalbin in November and have been to Ceylon Southern India, B illegible
stopping at Pe illegible s and Singapore, then to Java, China, and now Japan, where we have been unfortunate as to weather
We have been here almost two 03872 2 letterhead months and have not seen illegible yet. We came to see the cherry
blossoms, but we think our apple blossoms quite as beautiful. Mr Husled met us here, stayed about two weeks, and is now on
his way home, intending to sail for Iceland and Norway the early part of the summer. We sail for San Francisco on the Coptic
on May 22nd, so our time is drawing to a close after a most interesting trip. We especially enjoyed beautiful Ceylon, and
found Java most fascinating, with it's luxuriant vegetation and delicious fruits. Warmly thanking you again 08872
