As to the Galen Clark books, it is very proper that they should be placed in our Yosemite Club Building. I will try to prepare
a sketch of Galen Clark's life and work in the Yosemite and Mariposa Sequoia grove within a few days. The idea of a National
Park embracing all the Mt. Tamalpais region I think is capital, and the Club will of course lend all possible aid in getting
the park established by act of congress. I hope to get back ere long and will take up all the Sierra work with you, which,
however, I have carefully watched through the newspapers, especially of course the Hetch-Hetchy matter and the Ballinger-Pinchot
squabble. Whatever the cost we of course must see the thing through, as it is one of the principal interests that the Club
has on hand. Faithfully yours, illegible To Wm. E. Colby, 302 Mills Bldg., San Francisco, Cal.
