San Francisco July 21st 1881. Dr John Strentzel Dear Sir I have just returned from the Arctic Ocean where I met your
son in law Professor Muir and promised him I would call on you on my arrival at San Francisco As my time is limited I find
that Friday 22d will be the most convenient day for me to do so. Will be at your place on the train that leaves Oakland at
