Title:
Letter to W.T. Kahler from T. Bernardi
Date:
May 28, 1948
Note:
This is a reply to Kahler’s letter requesting plans and pictures of the case study house. Instead of sending the plans, Bernardi
suggests Kahler hire a local architect who could 'design a house to suit your land, your climate and other local conditions'
and recommends four area architects. Part of Wurster's philosophy of design included using native and appropriate materials
specific to each individual site. Houses were designed for the needs of the client as well as the land
