Title:
Teamwork studies at Davis, Paired off in teams, these students on the Davis campus of the University of California are participating
in a test of group characteristics that influence performance in perceptual motor skills. Each of the boys operates a dial
that moves a stylus through a maze. It requires the cooperative effort of two boys to move the stylus and their speed and
quality of performance is measured by the metering devices shown in the foreground of this picture taken overhead. Team results
are then compared. It is but one of a series of unique experiments underway in the physical education laboratory as UCD researchers
probe for more accurate information on the psychological and physiological stresses and capabilities involved in physical
activity.
