Biographical History
William Hugh Regan most commonly known as Bill Regan
graduated from San Jose State College in 1940 with an A.B in
Journalism. He graduated with honorary distinction and
departmental honors in the field of Journalism.
He was involved in Tau Delta Phi, a men's honorary society,
and Nu Iota Chi, a Journalism society. He worked for the
Spartan Daily as a copy editor.
Scope and Content of Collection
The Bill Regan Photograph Collection consist of photographs and
negatives documenting campus life from San Jose State College
from 1937 to 1953. Notable aspects of the collection
include images of Amos Alonzo Stagg and Glenn Scobey Warner (Pop Warner),
two renowned American collegiate coaches as well as several
images of the SJSU sports program. The photographs also
represent San Jose State College events, scenes, and student
life.
