Biography
Edwards was born August 20, 1927 in Portchester, New York; attended UCLA (1943-46) and Southern Methodist University (1947-48);
was a child performer on the stage; junior writer, MGM, 1944; freelance film writer in Hollywood, 1950-54; freelance film
and television writer in England and Europe, 1954-72; wrote many works of fiction and biography, including

Shadow of a Lion (1971),
Haunted summer (1972),
Judy Garland: a biography (1975),
Vivien Leigh: a biography (1976),
Sonya: the life of Countess Tolstoy (1981),
The Road to Tara: the life of Margaret Mitchell (1983),
