Biographical/Historical note
Harold Albert Fisher was born 5 July 1919 in Denver, CO, and died 10 April 2009. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and Hofstra
University, serving as a U.S. Navy officer during World War II.
During the War he served as the administrative officer for Air Group Eight in the Pacific Theater, later assigned to Grumman
Aircraft Corporation as the Bureau of Aeronautics Representative. He had been employed at Grumman as an administrative assistant
from 1939-1943.
After World War II Mr. Fisher continued his employment at Grumman Aircraft, and, later, was Manager of Personnel at Marquardt
Aircraft Company, Van Nuys, CA, and Director of Industrial Relations, Guidance & Control Systems Division, Litton Systems,
Woodlands Hills, CA.

Immediate Source of Acquisition note
The materials were donated to the San Diego Air & Space Museum on March 24, 2010 by the Harold A. Fisher Trust. Mr. Fisher
was the step-son of Vice Admiral Gerald Francis Bogan. Admiral Bogan’s records collection may be found in SDASM 011.
