Biographical / Historical

Harold Albert Fisher was born 5 July 1919 in Denver, CO, and died 10 April 2009. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and Hofstra University, serving as a U.S. Navy officer during World War II.
During the War he served as the administrative officer for Air Group Eight in the Pacific Theater, later assigned to Grumman Aircraft Corporation as the Bureau of Aeronautics Representative. He had been employed at Grumman as an administrative assistant from 1939-1943.
After World War II Mr. Fisher continued his employment at Grumman Aircraft, and, later, was Manager of Personnel at Marquardt Aircraft Company, Van Nuys, CA, and Director of Industrial Relations, Guidance & Control Systems Division, Litton Systems, Woodlands Hills, CA.

Scope and Contents

This collection includes military orders, official documents and other papers from Harold Albert Fisher's career in the Navy, with Grumman Aircraft Corporation and with the Marquardt Corporation.
