Abstract: The collection dates from Andrew Cohen's tenure on the EBMUD Board of Directors and consists of documents pertaining to the

Biography
Andrew J Cohen was elected to the board of directors of the East Bay Municipal Utilities District in 1991. Prior to his election
to the board Mr. Cohen sued to halt the building of a dam and reservoir near Moraga. He served one term and did not run for
re-election in 1994. He went on to complete his PhD. He is a consultant and he also writes about environmental issues.
Scope and Content of Collection
The collection dates from Mr. Cohen's term on the East Bay Municipal Utilities District board of directors and consists of
documents pertaining to the projects and administrative work of the District. The materials consist of articles, campaign
materials, correspondence, data, financial materials, legislation, meeting minutes, newsclippings, policies and procedures,
and reports.
Arrangement
When received, the materials were arranged alphabetically by the subject listed as the folder title. This arrangement has
been maintained and the folder titles correspond with the original.
