Administrative History
Boxing was one of the most popular sports on campus up through the 1930s, when UC Davis defeated teams from UC Berkeley and
Stanford University and won the Pacific Intercollegiate Championship in 1933 and 1934. Crip Toomey, longtime coach, also served
on the NCAA Boxing Rules Committee. By the late 1950s, interest waned and the campus no longer fielded a team.
