Abstract: Humphrey Anthony papers (SAFR 14287, HDC 79) consists of three letters from Anthony, a New Bedford whaling outfitter, to his
wife written from shipboard in San Francisco Bay. Writes about daily activities of organizing a company to mine gold. Gives
