    Biographical / Historical

    William Farnum (1876-1953) was an American actor. He was a star of American silent film cinema. Farnum was one of the highest paid actors during his time as an actor in Hollywood.

    Scope and Contents

    This collection contains the papers and scrapbooks of actor William Farnum (1876-1953). Papers include play scripts, personal photographs, theater programs, handbills, correspondence, clippings, and publicity relating to the theater and movie careers of William and Dustin Farnum. Scrapbooks contain photographs from stage appearances and motion picture stills as well as clippings, including a number from Tale of Two Cities (1917) and The Conqueror (1917).
