Background
Paul Kayser was a U.S. Marine stationed in China during World War II. He was acting
Sergeant of the Second Squad, Second Platoon, G Company, Seventh Regiment during a
fifty-mile, two-day rescue mission led by Kayser to recover kidnapped Marines.
