    Collection Scope and Contents

    Terry Carr is best known as an editor of science fiction and fantasy anthologies, but he was also a writer and a prominent member of mid-20th century science ficiton fandom. Terry's collection includes editorial files for the anthologies he worked on, which include correspondence, contracts, and drafts of the introductions he wrote for the included pieces. There is also a bit of professional and personal correspondence, covering both fan and professional activities. There are manuscript of pieces written by Terry Carr and some materials from his contribution to fanzines. Finally, of note are the materials from when he served as a jury member for the World Fantasy Award and the Nebula Award.
