Materials dealing with the planning, promotion and reception of Earth Day 1990, an international event, coordinated from Stanford,
California. Contents include: press releases, newspaper clippings, lists of international participants and contacts, newsletters
("Earthline" and "International Update"), citizens guides, fact sheets, and other informational literature on events and issues;
also included are documentation and correspondence from International partners detailing global Earth Day events and initiatives;
curriculum materials and guides for K-12 schools; assorted photographs; and a copy of A Collection of Voices: The Dawn of
Global Awareness as expressed in the Letters to Earth Day 1990, compiled by Peter Wright.
Earth Day 1990 was assembled by Denis Hayes and chaired by Senator Gaylord Nelson.
