Brian Kevin Beck is a writer, educator, and artist. He's the author of the books
Poison-Pen Personnel-Portrait Portfolio (2002),
But So Did Her Brother (2006),
The Potato Kronikles (2006), and
Teaching Thinking (2007), as well as contributions to liberal arts journals and poetry anthologies.

Scope and Contents
The collection comprises information packets, workshop material, letters to the editor, clippings, flyers, poetry, and gay
organization material, circa 1970-2007, from writer and educator Brian Kevin Beck from Whitewater, Wisconsin. The bulk of
the collection is articles and manifesto-like writings regarding homosexuality, homophobia, and the intersections of art and
activism. Also included are materials from the National Gay Task Force, the Gay Peoples Union in Milwaukee, and the gay student
group at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
