Description
Papers collected by H.H. Bancroft for his history of California. Primarily Alviso family documents relating to the sale of cattle, tallow and hides and to early government in San Jose. Also included are miscellaneous papers of Juan B.R. Cooper, M.G. Vallejo, Thomas O. Larkin and James McKinlay.
