Description
Hugo Fisher (1921- ) was a lawyer and politician. He was a California state senator (1959-62), a member of the central committee of the San Diego County Democratic Party (1951) and a delegate to the Democratic National Convention (1952,1956,1960). The collection consists of correspondence, hearings, notes, speeches, legislative bills, and other printed material compiled during Hugo Fisher's term as a California state senator from 1959-62.

Fisher was born April 30, 1921 in San Diego, California; attended San Diego State College (1938-40); LL.B., Balboa University, 1950; admitted to California State Bar, 1951; member, Sloane & Fisher (1951-59), Fisher & Barrett (1959-60), and Precopio, Price, Cory & Fisher from 1960; California State Senator (1959-62); became member, central committee, San Diego County Democratic Party, 1951; delegate, Democratic National Convention (1952,1956,1960); member, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
