    Scope and Content of Collection

    Photograph album, ca. 1917-1919, containing 120+ black/white photos, very few with captions, mainly of British (men, women, and children) in Egypt (possibly Alexandria) during World War I. Mainly troops in camps and on the march, hospital wards, sporting events, and British families at various social occasions and outings in the countryside. Also includes a few images of Egyptians, street scenes and residences, and local boats.
