Gift of Mrs. Theodore E. Cummings in honor of her husband, Spring 1963.

Collection consists of Hebrew manuscripts, mainly Eastern European and some Iraqi, including Cabalistic works such as
Pardes rimonim by Moses Cordovero (16th century) and
'Ez Hayyim by Hayyim Vital (1705); prayer books including one from Yemen in the late eighteenth century; a red and black manuscript of 1588 on Jewish
chronology and calendar; and The Scroll of Saragossa, ca. 1420, commemorating the miraculous salvation of a community of Spanish
Jews. The entire collection is in Hebrew.
