Biographical Information:
Rancho San Luis Rey was one of the most prominent horse-breeding ranches in the Southwestern United States during the 1930s
and 1940s. Owned and operated by Charles E. Cooper, the ranch bred, sold, and ran horses throughout California and Tijuana.
Cooper was an integral part of the early development of North San Diego County (Bonsal), the Del Mar Race Track, horse racing
in California, and Wilshire Boulevard.
