Description
The JuleTone Productions, Inc. Records document rehearsals, stage directions, musical compositions, participants, and venue preparation for JuleTone performances.
The Collection consists of sheet music with notations, original lyrics, cast lists, news clippings, photographs, audio recordings,
production invoices, invitations, correspondence, stage directions, programs, plaques, and performance DVDs. The majority
of the material dates from about 1981 to the mid-2000s, and highlights performances and workshops. The Collection is divided
into four series: JuleTone Production Files (1958-2008), Showbiz! Files (1981-2007), Multimedia Files, and Awards/Plaques. The JuleTone Production Files are filed into four sub-series: the General Production Files (1958-2008), Annual Production Files (1964-2007), Wedding Files (1991-2003), and Artwork Files (1983-2003). The Annual Production Files are further divided into three other sub-series: Charity Ball Files (1964-2004), Holiday High Files (1985-2007), and San Diego State University Event Files (1992-2005). The ShowBiz! Files (1981-2007) are filed into two sub-series: the Workshop Files (1981-2007) and the "Something Else Again" Revue Files (1986). The Multimedia Files are divided into two sub-series: Photo Files (1958-2007), and DVD Files (1978-1996).
Background
In 1954, Toni Michetti, co-founder of JuleTone Productions, graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Speech
Arts with a focus on theater. Her first show was for the Bachelor's Club in 1958. During the 1960s and 1970s, Michetti directed,
choreographed and performed in over twenty charitable events. In 1979, Julie Golden and Michetti performed together in the
San Diego chapter of the Junior League's "Celebrate" show. Their collaboration during this performance eventually led to the
creation JuleTone Productions in 1981.

The copyright interests in these materials have not been transferred to San Diego State University. Copyright resides with
the creators of materials contained in the collection or their heirs. The nature of historical archival and manuscript collections
is such that copyright status may be difficult or even impossible to determine. Requests for permission to publish must be
submitted to the Head of Special Collections, San Diego State University, Library and Information Access. When granted, permission
is given on behalf of Special Collections as the owner of the physical item and is not intended to include or imply permission
of the copyright holder(s), which must also be obtained in order to publish. Materials from our collections are made available
