    Scope and Content of Collection

    55 black/white shapshots, with captions, of a tour in Algeria taken by two elderly English women, Mrs. Frank Payne and Mrs. William Spencer, Mar. 1933. Contains images of Sidi Akba, Timgad (Roman settlement ruins), Biskra, and Bou Saada. Includes street and desert scenes, markets, local inhabitants, residences, camel and horse riders, horse races, and dancers, as well as several of Mrs Payne and Spencer, their guide, and touring car.
