Scope and Content of Collection
Photograph album containing more than 185 black/white photographs, with some brief location captions, of a 1930s bicycle tour
through Europe, including Germany (Dresden), Venice, Vienna, the Dolomites, Yugoslavia, Roumania (Bucharest), and Bulgaria
(Sofia), as well as North Africa during World War II (1942-1943), including Bougie, Constantine, Tunis (victory parade), Carthage,
then on to Italy (1943), and back to North Africa (1944-1945), including Egypt (Timsah, Alexandria). The North Africa section
includes a number of images of British troops, particularly the 208 LAD, suggesting the album once belonged to a British soldier.
